KRESSIG ANNOUNCES RUN FOR SIXTH TERM IN IOWA HOUSE

State Representative Bob Kressig of Cedar Falls announced today that he will seek re-election to the Iowa House of Representatives in House District 59 which includes the majority of Cedar Falls.
“Last session, we made great progress building Iowa’s skilled workforce, providing adequate support for UNI, and lowering property taxes for our local businesses,” said Kressig. “I’ll keep working hard and listening to the people of my district to keep focused on the issues important to them.”
Kressig is currently serving his fifth term in the Iowa House. He serves as a ranking member of the Public Safety Committee as well as serving on Commerce and Local Government Committees and the Economic Development Budget Subcommittee.
“It’s been a great honor serving the people of Cedar Falls in the Iowa House,” said Kressig. “I’m going to keep working to strengthen Iowa’s middle class in Iowa, keep higher education affordable at UNI, and bring more good-paying jobs to our community.”
Bob worked for John Deere for 31 years and is now retired. He is a current member of the Veridian Credit Union Board of Directors, the University of Northern Iowa’s Metal Casting Center Board of Directors, and the Allen Child Protection Center Advisory Committee.
Bob is married to Liz Kressig, who is a para-educator in the Cedar Falls Community School District. They have two daughters, Molly and Laura. He enjoys cycling and has participated in RAGBRAI.
