The Cedar Prairie Group - Sierra Club and the Iowa Chapter - Sierra Club have endorsed legislators
Senator Bill Dotzler and Representatives Bob Kressig and Deborah Berry who are all up for reelection this November.
The Cedar Prairie Group is the local arm of the Sierra Club and serves seven counties in Northeast Iowa:
Black Hawk, Bremer, Buchanan, Butler, Chickasaw, Grundy and Hardin.
The Sierra Club’s mission is: To explore, enjoy and protect the planet. To practice and promote the
responsible use of the earth's ecosystems and resources; to educate and enlist humanity to protect and restore
the quality of the natural and human environment; and to use all lawful means to carry out those objectives.
The Iowa Chapter of the Sierra Club works hard to save and create for all Iowans a healthy and sustainable environment through
devoted, informed and skilled volunteers. The Cedar Prairie Group aims to inform and educate the local public through sponsoring presentations
that cover issues such as Water Quality and Nutrient Run-off,
Global Warming, Wind and Solar Energy, Forrest management and more.
